The ACP Completes Two-Day Launch for 2025/26 at Peterborough UTC
The Schools’ Aerospace Careers Programme (ACP) successfully commenced its 2025/26 academic year with a two-day presentation at Peterborough UTC on the 17th and 18th September. This event marked the ACP’s inaugural visit to the school.
Across the two days, the programme engaged nearly 300 students, with approximately 170 participating on the first day and 120 on the second, featuring a distinct group each day. The sessions were led by Chris Marshall and introduced Ogi Damjanovic, the newest member of the ACP team. Ogi is now responsible for delivering the digital innovation and technology segments, specialising in VR and VR design, which were previously presented by Lee Mason.
The launch adhered to the ACP’s established format. Mornings featured presentations from Chris Marshall and Ogi Damjanovic that focused on the rapid evolution of aerospace technologies, emerging digital trends, and the corresponding future career pathways within the sector.
Following lunch, students rotated through a series of practical breakout sessions:
– Chris Marshall facilitated sessions utilising XR drone simulators.
– Ogi Damjanovic guided students through a 3D virtual reality design experience.
– Spot, the quadruped robot from Boston Dynamics, provided interactive demonstrations, generating a positive response from the students.
The two-day event was facilitated by the support of the Peterborough UTC staff, with specific thanks extended to careers lead Sonia Rogers for coordinating the visit.
Feedback from both staff and students was highly positive. The successful two-day launch has established a strong foundation for the year ahead as the ACP continues its national outreach efforts.
