The ACP Roadshow Visits the West Country

On Friday, 6 October, the ACP Roadshow of Presentations to Groups of Schools was hosted by West Buckland School, Barnstaple. There were three schools – state and independent – represented by 93 students, and it was much to the credit of Andy Beacham who only assumed the mantle of responsibility for the event within the school a couple weeks beforehand that the presentation went so well. He was very ably assisted by the Head of Marketing, the Head of Communications & IT and – I must say this – the catering team. Their chocolate brownies, ginger cake and cold buffet was seriously good!

Our heartiest thanks must also go to Vaishnavi, Danyal, Abraham and Matthew from GKN Aerospace who represented Industry in a most exemplary fashion and, of course, to Chis Marshall from Airborne Platforms who managed Spot, VR training aids and 3D printing all in one go! Finally, there was also a young man who gained his first experience of a NASA space suit – with all helmet lights blazing – and considerable and well deserved applause!
