The ACP Roadshow visits Letchworth Garden City
On Tuesday, 14 November, the ACP Roadshow of Presentations to Groups of Schools was hosted by St Francis College in Hertfordshire. There were five schools present – state and independent – and a total of 155 students and teachers. The ACP team was joined by Noble Varghese and Karisma Mistry from Babcock International who were able to trial our new 120” floor rising screen and associated laser short-throw projector. Also with us was Chris Marshall from Airborne Platforms UK who took full advantage of two of our new 85” TV screens and all 12 VR systems, and Lee Mason who has just joined the ACP support team utilised the third 85” TV screen when demonstrating AR/VR design. As always Spot was a centre of attention, but we are also very grateful to the young lady who became the College’s first ‘astronaut’.
The ACP is particularly grateful to Babcock for their increasing support, and to Julia Glanville and Barbara Holgate-Stuckey from St Francis College for their essential support both in preparing for, and then conducting, the event. Considerable thanks must also go the Shebeer Ahammed and his colleague James in respect of the College theatre’s audio-visual system and, of course, to James Nichols, Head Teacher, for agreeing to host the presentation.
