What schools receive
Each Roadshow visit is a full school-day event combining a large-group presentation with smaller, hands-on breakouts.
The SACP team brings the people, the equipment and the careers material; the school provides the space and the year groups taking part.
The format has been refined over six years of in-school delivery. It is designed for students aged 14 to 16, and some presentations also cater for those aged 16 to 18. The intention is straightforward: to give every student an accurate, first-hand view of careers in aerospace, space and aviation, drawn from the companies and people working in the industry.
The Roadshow presentation
The presentation runs for around two hours and combines the SACP’s core careers message with three to four industry-specific talks from Industry Professionals and Supporting Companies. Spot, the Boston Dynamics robot, also takes part.
Hands-on technology breakouts
The breakouts run for up to two hours and let students try flight simulators, drone simulators, virtual and mixed reality design, and VR experiences linked to aerospace, space and aviation.
Free of charge
The Roadshow is delivered at no cost to host schools, funded by the SACP’s industry partners.
Continuing careers information
Schools receive updated digital careers materials every three months, with point-of-contact communication continuing until each student reaches 18.
Schools in every UK region
The SACP has delivered across England and Scotland and is equipped to deliver throughout the United Kingdom: the mobile model travels readily to Wales, and visits to Northern Ireland are planned so that several schools benefit from each trip.

The Roadshow connects subjects such as physics, maths, design technology and computing to live industry applications across aerospace, space and aviation.
Encounters with employers and employees
Each Roadshow gives students direct contact with three of the SACP’s own industry professionals, and Supporting Companies present at some visits.
Encounters with further and higher education
Sessions cover apprenticeships, degree apprenticeships and university routes into the industry the SACP represents.
